It is imperative that the phones you are communicating with are enabled for WAP Push & GPRS. Should your clients have problems, they can check the following:

  • WAP Push Messages
    • Depending on the manufacturer of your handset, you need to set the WAP Push setting to "On", "Allow all", "Always", or "Receive all". Here are some of the more common locations of this setting:
      • Nokia:
        Services -> Settings -> Service Inbox settings
        Messaging -> Settings -> Service Msg.
      • Motorola:
        Messages -> Browser Msgs -> Menu Button -> Browser Msg Setup
        Messages -> Browser Messages -> Browser Msg Setup
      • LG:
        Internet -> Push Messages -> Receive
      • Samsung:
        Fun Box -> WWW Services -> Push Messages -> Setting
        Fun Box -> Wap Browser
      • SonyEricsson:
        Messaging -> WAP Push -> Allow Push
        Wap Services -> Push Messages
        Messaging -> Wap Push
    • If in doubt, please refer to your mobile's manual or ask your mobile's manufacturer for assistance.
  • GPRS
    • If WAP is enabled but GPRS is disabled, you will get the WAP Push message but not be able to complete your download. If in doubt, please contact your network provider; most providers will text the correct settings direct to your phone. Links to some operators GPRS settings pages are below:
      • O2
      • T-Mobile
      • Virgin Mobile
      • Vodafone (choose your phone manufacturer, then select 'Configurator' below your phone)
      • Orange (follow "Get help using your phone" -> "Choose your phone" -> "Your Orange Services" -> "Multimedia" -> "GPRS" -> "How do I set up my phone to use wap?" -> then "Click here to set up your phone"
